B.C. Premier David Eby has confirmed three miners are trapped underground in a mine in northern B.C.
The miners work on the Pink Chris mine on Talhtan Nation territory close to Dease Lake, B.C.
Two of the miners are from B.C. and one is from Ontario, the premier stated at a information convention on the First Ministers assembly in Ontario Wednesday morning.
“There was an accident,” Eby stated. “There are three miners which are presently trapped underground. They’re, to the most effective of our information, unhurt and in a refuge space.”
