An undeclared allergen has prompted a recall of some plenty of Wegmans semi-sweet chocolate nonpareils.
The recalled 18.5-ounce tubs of chocolate sweet “comprise undeclared milk allergen” that didn’t seem on packaging, based on an allergy alert revealed Monday by the Meals and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recalled nonpareils went to Wegmans Meals Markets areas in eight states — Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia — and in Washington, D.C., the FDA alert mentioned.
The tubs of the recalled sweet have the lot codes 55021, 55031, 55491, 55501, 56061 and 56071 on the facet, with best-by dates that fluctuate by lot code, based on the alert and a recall discover posted on the grocery retailer chain’s web site.
