UIDAI stated it requested the Registrar Common of India (RGI) to share demise information linked with Aadhaar quantity and has acquired roughly 1.55 crore demise information from 24 states and UTs, utilizing the Civil Registration System (CRS).
“After due validation, round 1.17 crore Aadhaar numbers have been deactivated. The same train is constant with non-CRS States/UTs. About 6.7 lakh demise information have been acquired to date, and deactivation is in progress,” the assertion stated.
On the “Reporting of Dying of a Household Member”, any member of the family of the deceased, after authenticating themselves, is required to offer the Aadhaar quantity and the demise registration quantity, together with different demographic particulars of the deceased individual on the portal. After the due validation technique of the data submitted by the member of the family, additional motion is taken for the deactivation, or in any other case, of the Aadhaar variety of the deceased individual.
