(ECNS) — The Phoenix Flag, a logo of South Korea’s head of state, was raised at Cheong Wa Dae at midnight native time on Sunday, marking the presidential workplace’s formally return to Cheong Wa Dae after a three-year-and-seven-month absence.
South Korea’s presidential workplace stated its President Lee Jae Myung labored at Cheong Wa Dae for the primary time after the relocation on the day.

Since 1948, Cheong Wa Dae has served as each the official residence and workplace for nearly each South Korean president. Nonetheless, after taking workplace in Might 2022, former President Yoon Suk-yeol relocated the presidential workplace to a newly established compound on the former Ministry of Nationwide Protection constructing in Seoul’s Yongsan district, opening Cheong Wa Dae to the general public.
