Nvidia and Superior Micro Units have agreed to provide the U.S. authorities a share of revenues from sure chips bought in China, the Monetary Instances reported, in an unprecedented association with the White Home.
In alternate for 15% of revenues from the chip gross sales, the 2 chipmakers will obtain export licenses to promote Nvidia’s H20 and AMD’s MI308 chips in China, in keeping with the FT.
The association comes as President Donald Trump’s tariffs proceed to reverberate by the worldwide economic system, underscoring the White Home’s willingness to carve out exceptions as a bargaining instrument.
