Lionel Messi and Inter Miami team-mate Jordi Alba have been suspended after the duo skipped Main League Soccer’s All-Star sport earlier this week, the league mentioned Friday.
MLS mentioned in a press release Messi and Alba can be unavailable for Saturday’s conflict in opposition to FC Cincinnati “as a consequence of their absence” at this week’s All-Star showpiece.
“Per league guidelines, any participant who doesn’t take part within the All-Star Recreation with out prior approval from the league is ineligible to compete of their membership’s subsequent match,” the league mentioned in a short assertion.
