The India Meteorological Division (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in 9 districts in Kerala on Sunday (July 20, 2025).
It has declared an orange alert for Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargode.
The IMD has forecast remoted heavy rainfall (yellow alert) for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha and Kottayam districts.
A despair over northeast Rajasthan and adjoining Uttar Pradesh has catalysed the present spell of intense rain over Kerala. The IMD will possible replace its climate forecast for Kerala at 1 p.m.
