The breadth of the investigation is intensive. Along with Fernández, greater than 30 people have been indicted, together with Cantero, Martínez Sosa, and Alberto Pagliano, former head of Nación Seguros and reportedly a private good friend of the ex-president. Prosecutors say the alleged scheme concerned coordinated efforts throughout a number of authorities departments, every obligated by decree to make the most of Nación Seguros, with little to no oversight on the commissions being extracted.
