The Directorate Normal of Civil Aviation has uncovered 51 security lapses inside Air India operations throughout its annual audit, together with outdated coaching manuals, fragmented coaching information, low-visibility operations approvals, untrained employees managing flight rosters, lack of pilot coaching and use of non-qualified simulators.
Seven essential Degree I breaches should be rectified by July 30, with 44 different non-compliances due by August 23, the DGCA mentioned.
The aviation regulator has directed the airline to supply proof of compliance with security protocols and brought enforcement motion following the invention that an emergency slide inspection was overdue.
On July 23, the DGCA issued three show-cause notices to Air India for varied security lapses, requiring the airline to reply inside 15 days.
An Air India spokesperson mentioned the regulator’s audit passed off in July, “throughout which it was totally clear with auditors within the spirit of such steady enchancment.”
“We acknowledge receipt of the findings and can submit our response to the regulator throughout the stipulated timeframe, together with the small print of the corrective actions taken,” the spokesperson added.
