The Union Cupboard on Wednesday (December 31, 2025) permitted the widening and strengthening of NH-326 in Odisha, upgrading the present two-lane stretch to a two-lane freeway with paved shoulder from 68.600 km to 311.700 km underneath the EPC mode.
In keeping with an official assertion, the full capital value for the undertaking is ₹1,526.21 crore, which features a civil building value of ₹966.79 crore.

The assertion stated the upgradation of NH-326 will make journey sooner, safer, and extra dependable, leading to general growth of southern Odisha, significantly benefiting the districts of Gajapati, Rayagada, and Koraput.
Improved street connectivity will immediately profit native communities, industries, instructional establishments, and tourism centres by enhancing entry to markets, healthcare, and employment alternatives, thereby contributing to the area’s inclusive development, it added.
The federal government has declared the stretch “the freeway ranging from its junction with NH-59 close to Aska, passing by means of Mohana, Raipanka, Amalabhata, Rayagada, Laxmipur and terminating at its junction with NH-30 close to Chinturu in Odisha” as NH-326 vide Gazette Notification dated August 14, 2012.
