Underlying earnings and shareholder fairness
Underlying earnings elevated 6% to €4.5 billion, pushed by P&C (+7%) and life & well being (+5%), offset by a 14% drop in asset administration earnings because of a better cost-income ratio. Underlying earnings per share rose 8% to €2.03, supported by earnings progress, share buy-backs, and lowered debt fees, partially offset by forex results.
